From The Faeries of Willow Tribe …
“Well Now, look at you!", the tree started. "Please do NOT", replied Cheyenne. "Oh but I must, you are a rare one out of your woods! What brings you here to Willow?" The Breeze picked up a bit and blew one of Cheyenne's long perfect braids off her shoulder. A bird loudly called out into the Night Sky. "Cawwww - Cawwww!" Cheyenne looked up but was unable to see what kind of bird was calling. It did not sound like the Night-Time Owl....
In the Redwoods
"I have always been here!", was Cheyenne's answer. "I have never noticed you before." Replied the tree. "Nor I, you!" giggled Cheyenne.
This Standing Person was Wise and Strong and the only one like it in the Land of Willow. Cheyenne caught a feeling for her new unique friend. It was as if they had always known one another. This Standing-Person, a huge Grand Tree from the Tribe of Sequoia, and this tiny creature, Cheyenne, a "Faerie-Freak", understandably became forever-friends.
Cheyenne spoke up , "I have to ask, if I may, how did YOU root here?" The Grand Tree, Sequoia answered slowly, "Well... That is a Story to be Told!" I am not sure if it is ready to be shared. Maybe you can return another day while I ponder the details and figure it out myself!
Being so late in the evening Cheyenne agreed she would come back another time to hear her new friend's story. For now, she would go home to rest. She had already missed the Days End Celebration and she was very, very, sleepy.
"I am off! Sweet Dreams to you Sequoia, it has been nice to meet you!"
