Welcome to the Beading Circle, you will have others in the creative process to share with. At the Finish of the Course, you will have a piece of artwork that you can wear, share or sell! As your fingers dance with threads and beads, you will discover how this meditative art form connects you to generations of artisans while opening doorways to your own creative consciousness.
My Self-Paced Course is Available to teach the basic skill sets necessary to work a piece of art that you can wear.
Throughout the Course, in our Live Discussions I will share a bit about bead history, art history and the cultural bead work that really sparks my imagination. From Native American, to Huichol, African, European and more, beads hold a cultural significance. They have been used to adorn and to barter. They have been used in ceremony throughout the ages.
There are many beading communities I will link you to, in case you wish to travel or journey into more detailed cultures and classrooms. What you will discover in this course, is YOUR style, your spiritual confidence and your magic!
This is a chance to share YOUR BEAD Story! What is happening for you during your bead sessions, what feelings are arising? Where beads originate from, what they are made from, (crystals, stones, bones, clay, shell, husks, etc.), where YOU found them, why you chose them, begin the story. We will craft personal talismans that carry the whispers of ancestral knowledge and create our own unique magic.
Along with the online program we have Live & Recorded Zoom meetups! All material will be found here on the online course. I will be using YouTube and social media to keep everyone informed who is in Our Circle.
Simply, patience is a virtue, and this class is one to teach us this! This meditative art is considered an activation to find your uniqueness and belonging to a group of others who value culture and artistry. Like-souled people who wish to "Walk in Beauty" together and feel free to create, make mistakes, share our stories and enjoy the company of others who find enjoyment in the focus and clarity one receives just taking time outside your busy day.
The reward in the end is a beautiful piece of adornment that will last a lifetime AND a skill to practice where you can become proficient enough to complete one large earring in less than 4 hours. Practice makes perfect.
If you are starting from scratch, expect supplies to cost no more than $35-40 dollars for:
5 colors of beads, thread, needles, findings.
All questions can be asked on the Live Zoom or you can post questions here in the group. Of course, all questions help others who may be timid to ask them, so please post them publicly. If you choose, you may email to: WildlyAiyana@gmail.com with the Subject: Question for Aiyana.
